Hello,

According to our reporting as of 8/14/2024, you have only registered biometric or platform-specific verification method(s) with Duo. 

If you don't register an alternate method with Duo, you'll be unable to use to your Duck ID account on any other device. You may find yourself unexpectedly forced to stop what you're doing to get tech support before you can access critical services like UOmail, Canvas, etc. 

We strongly recommend registering an alternate method now to save yourself some trouble later! 

Take these steps to register an alternate method:

Get both your registered biometric method AND the alternate method you’re about to register in front of you

Follow the instructions for existing users in our How to register and manage devices for Duo article

The alternate methods you can choose from include:

 Duo Mobile app on a smartphone (recommended)

A hardware token, which is a small fob that can generate passcodes

Your phone number, to receive phone call approval or SMS passcodes
