Hi [First Name],

What’s happening?

Windows 10 is reaching End of Life on October 14th, 2025. All Windows 11 capable devices must be upgraded prior to that deadline.

When is this happening?

If the computer(s) have not been upgraded by May 21st, they will upgrade automatically.

What do you need to do?

Windows 11 is available as a self-service upgrade at this time. According to our records, you have the following computer(s) currently running Windows 10 that are eligible to upgrade.

[netbios] - [Computer type]

This is a large upgrade that could take up to three (3) hours to apply and will reboot your computer several times, so please plan accordingly. Please save your work before starting the upgrade as the computer will be unavailable until the process is complete. The progress bar will remain visible until the process is complete.

Below are the self-service instructions, but if you would like help installing this update or have any questions, please feel free to submit a ticket to User Support Services.

How to upgrade to Windows 11

1.      Ensure your computer is on and plugged into power.

2.      Ensure your computer has an active internet connection via Wi-Fi or ethernet. No VPN connection is required. Once the process begins, it will proceed unattended until it is complete.

3.      In the Windows search bar on the bottom left of your desktop, type Software Center and click to open the app.

4.      In Software Center, select Operating Systems on the left panel.

5.      Select UO - Upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 Enterprise.

6.      Click the Install button and the process will begin.

Sincerely,
