REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FEE WAIVER

I am writing to request for an application fee waiver to enable me to apply and submit my application for the MA program at the Department of History, University of Oregon, USA.

My name is Okafor Chiadikaobi Gregory Johnmark. I am a Second Class Upper Division graduate of the Department of History and International Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria. My research interest revolves around the place of Politics and Economy in Wartime Labour Migrations in West Africa during the Second World War. My dream is to further contribute to this body of knowledge and introduce this in the teaching curriculum of my university when I am back.

However, this dream is currently in jeopardy because of my inability of paying the ‘mandatory’ application fee. I come from a family of four and the pandemic have greatly destabilized the income flow of our family due to the irregularity in the payment of my parents’ salaries by our state government. Currently, our total annual income is roughly 175 US Dollars.

I am very much upbeat about my dream of becoming a Professor in History and this will be further enhanced if this request can be granted

Please find attached my tax exemption certificate from the Anambra State Government, Awka Nigeria confirming my dire financial condition.
